The Submed I.V. Start Kit provides medical staff with a compact, sterile, all-in-one solution for peripheral intravenous line placement.

 

Designed to support hospital infection control and clinical efficiency, this tray includes larger 7.5x7.5 cm 4-ply nonwoven swabs along with standard transparent dressing and pre-cut plaster strips. Everything is logically arranged inside a 6-compartment thermoform tray to facilitate smooth, standard-of-care IV start procedures.


Kit Component Breakdown

  • 1x Blue Latex Tourniquet (45 cm): Located outside the sterile bundle for immediate application during venipuncture site selection.

  • 1x Alcohol Prep Pad (70% Isopropyl Alcohol): Fast-acting antiseptic pad for skin disinfection.

  • 2x Nonwoven Swabs (7.5x7.5 cm, 4-ply, 40 gsm): Highly absorbent, lint-free nonwoven swabs ideal for site preparation and blood control.

  • 1x Transparent I.V. Film Dressing (6x7 cm): Breathable transparent dressing for secure fixation and ongoing visual inspection of the insertion site.

  • 2x Pre-Cut Adhesive Plaster Strips (2.5x14 cm): Flexible 70% Viscose / 30% Polyester tape strips for anchoring tubing and extension sets.
